Highland Park Valkyrie

Good peat. A little spice

Not impressed by this. Neck pour was very harsh. Later pours was not bad, but anyway more negative impressions.....

Garbage. Spicier finish than standard 12 because it’s younger. More viscosity though which is nice. Like the 12, i’m not tasting complex sherry notes at all.

Sampled at a tasting event. Thoroughly enjoyed. Ideal level of smoke with distinct stages of flavour.

Disappointment, only 2D. Sweet start, pepper finish, 0 middle. Smoke not helping.

A wonderful present left from dad. Salted caramel and s’mores

One of the better new HP releases. The higher ABV makes a big difference.

Loved the nose on this one. Fruity, spicy and molasses that I get on most highland parks with berry, extra peat and briny notes and a oily finish. Enjoyed the dram very much.

Maize corn colour. N:20, P:20, F:20, B:20. An impeccably balanced whisky and quite interesting too. Flavours of toffee, slight gasoline, machine oil, ripe fruit, ginger. The taste is slightly on the sweeter side. Yammy!

하이랜드파크 발키리 Highland Park Valkyrie 45.9% 아메리칸 쉐리 오크, 스페인 쉐리 오크, 버번배럴 United Spirits Challenger 99/100점 NAS *발키리 : 북유럽 신화 속 천국 '발할라'에서 최고신 '오딘'을 받드는 여전사들 전쟁에서 명예롭게 죽은 이들을 발할라로 데리고 감(한마디로 저승사자) 이에 바이킹들은 죽음은 새로운 시작으로 받아들였으며, 명예롭게 전쟁 중에 죽기를 원했음. 오히려 늙어죽으면 불명예스럽다고 여김 향 : 확실히 하이랜드파크만의 특유의 옅은 향이 있습니다. 기본적으로 안개처럼 뿌옇지만(스모키), 그 안에 플로랄, 초록의 과실류, 나무열매, 풀류, 허브함, 신선한 잔디 계열이 느껴집니다. 가끔은 가벼운 유황계열, 마늘의 매콤함, 천연가스 같은 것들도 느껴집니다. 맛 : 달콤스모키로 인사를 합니다. 도수대비 스파이시함이 입안을 콕콕콕 찌르고 다니다가, 한순간에 달콤함이 확 풀려서 입안을 적십니다. 약간의 버블껌, 달콤한 나무조각, 쓰거나 짜지 않은 달콤한 쪽의 후추, 꽃가루, 약간의 바닐라 들이 느껴집니다. 피니쉬 : 밸런스가 참 좋은게, 맛에서부터 적당히 스파이시하고 짭쪼름한 후추와 함께 달콤한 꿀, 바닐라가 피니쉬까지도 연속적으로 이어져, 조화롭게 계속해서 지속됩니다. 한줄평 : 인상적인 맛인 달콤한 후추 = 저승사자로써 맵고 쓴맛이 있지만, 아름다운 여자의 모습으로 표현되는 발키리의 모습 ->'올해의 최고의 작명상'(from젤리) 을 하이랜드파크 발키리에 시상하니 상 받으려면 한국으로 오시기 바랍니다.
