This bourbon pushes the limit on the classical bourbon notes, and for me this is a big plus. The maturation in three different casks it’s clear on the nose. Very complex and intriguing. I let my drink sit for a few minutes and notes of chocolate, spices, cinnamon, caramel cones through. The Sherry and Cognac influence seems balance. On the palate, these notes show up strong, for me the bourbon notes came in on the va k end, like a reminder that this is a bourbon. Some leather notes also notes, similar to aged runs like El Dorado 15/21 or Appleton Estate 21. The price is high, I think that I will enjoy this one for a while.
