Journeyman Distillery Corsets, Whips & Whiskey

Took me a while to locate a bottle of this without driving to the distillery. It coats the glass well. Has a plastic butterscotch/toffee nose. Light but definitive. The palate is bursting with typical wheater profile while staying sweet. Nice spicey finish that sticks around. Twice as good as Blanton's. Will definitely grab a second bottle.

Had to try this bottle again after watching it win Whiskey of the Year 2022. Have to agree with Minnick and friends that it’s pretty tasty! But whiskey of the year? Still, pretty cool that Journeyman knocked off the big guys for the award. And they’re about 45 minutes away, so their stuff is readily available here!! 9/23/22 - This taste confirms it. Really enjoy this wheater. Excellent flavor and satisfying mouthfeel. And an enjoyable spicy finish. I’ll eat my words and say I get the ASCOT Award victory. Had again after they won the 2021 ASCOT awards and they must have done something different- this tastes fantastic! Toffee, vanilla, and caramel - very smooth with a slight spice at the end
