Kahlúa

A classic coffee liqueur - too sweet for me but perfect blended in any dessert drink.

This is the archetype of New world liqueurs. Sweet, rich, and packed with coffee flavor on the nose and palate, this goes down smooth with hints of vanilla on the finish. This is good for cocktails like White Russians, mixed in with a dessert cup of coffee, and even complements chocolate baked goods; for example, add a shot to a batch of fudge brownies. This should be in a well stocked liquor cabinet.

Pretty syrupy on its’ own, definately better mixed with coffee or other drinks

Kahlua Coffee Liqueur was the first classic coffee liqueur for several years. Aromas of coffee and chocolate cake icing greet the nose. The entry is smooth with a regular coffee flavor, ending with a long chocolate cake icing finish.

If you're used to good espresso, this will only disappoint...

Notes of coffee, vanilla, chocolate brownie, and wet potting soil on the nose. Rich, unctuous mouthfeel. Palate is very sweet, showing maple syrup along with more coffee, brownie, and vanilla notes. Sweetness persists through the finish, which is medium-length. Somewhat oversweet and out of balance on its own – but offers plenty of uses for mixing. 2.50/5.00 – Acceptable (neat)
