Kaniché Réserve Rum

Smell is decent, sugar cane juice and honey with subtle apple hints. Taste is light, sweet, cane sugar caramel, honey and floral tones. I wouldn't say spices like other commenters but rather tea herbs (camomile, sage, balm,...). Little bit spicy tingle on the end. But honestly I don't understand why this rum is so underrated. I got bottle for like 16 EUR, and for that price it's superb rum. Light but with enough complexity to enjoy sipping, that classic Barbados sweetness is nice but also still far far far away from the diabetes in bottle like basic Diplomatico, Zacapa and other rum based confectionery.

A rich Rum from Barbados aged in bourbon & cognac casks. It has an aromatic birth with notes of cane sugar & wood. while a rich life led to a long & balanced death. February 2016 / June 2017

Neat: Cane sugar, caramel, vanilla. Some hot alcohols. Good, not heavy like some rum.

Nose of wood, cherry popsicle, spice, soy sauce, vanilla and banana. Sweet taste of butterscotch, caramel, baking spice, pineapple, banana, vanilla and a slight hint of black pepper.

Sweet on the nares with nuts, fruit, sour candy. Flavor of werther and candy corn, very dessert like!
