Introduced in 2023, Balcomie is a core single malt for the Kingsbarns portfolio. Like the flagship Doocot bottling, it too is made from 100% malted barley sourced just six miles from the distillery. It is aged exclusively in former oloroso sherry casks made from American oak.
Bottled at 46% without chill filtration, it's available globally beginning March 2023. (SRP $59.99).

Tasting Notes
"The single malt has a slight musty aroma from the sherry casks, but it's not too overpowering. There's also some nuts, dried fruits (dates, figs) and malt. The body is average and tastes lean more spicy than fruity or sweet. Tangy, spicy finish. Overall, the whisky could be more complex and is not entirely balanced. "
