Koval Single Barrel Rye

Lacking spice, this tastes more like cherry jello. Very so-so, uniqueness being a bit of a redeeming quality.

There’s something clean about the nose I just love. You will taste candy corn here for sure, but it’s not overly sweet. Atypical, highly accessible rye—my favorite of the Koval lineup.

Not good for sipping but works okay for a mixed drink

Nose: acetone (I use acetone at laboratory and can't get rid of this association) and pepper Taste: rye, pepper, oak Texture and finish: silky and hot on mouth. Finish spicy and hint of sweetness at the end, like from all-bran cereal

Good, full bodied, nice finish without being too harsh or spicy.
