Nose- under ripe pears, green apples, wheat
Taste- sweet, pears, dark honey, a rich earthy taste almost I've never had in whiskey before. Bits of malt.
Finish - Tastes like cut grass that's composting smells. Starts good like a decent highland scotch but the finish turns me off.
Tasted very much like a typical scotch to me, which made sense when I looked at the details and saw it was a Scottish/Japanese blend. Unlike other Japanese whiskys that I’ve tried and enjoyed more. A fair bit of oak present from the bourbon barrels, and almond. Not something I would likely purchase, but not unpleasant.
