Lagavulin 16 Year

Not my preferred style but for the category it holds its own. More smoke than peat for me.

Angenehmer Torf und nicht zu stark

Comparable in quality and flavor profile to a Talisker, but a litte pricier - MSRP $80-90 a bottle. The nose conveys peat and ash, as from a chimney or a fireplace. On the palate, peat smoke and savory, salted smoked meats. Full, earthy flavor.

This is, so far, my favorite peated scotch. It is not overwhelming in smoke due to the age, and there is a smokey funky cheese/meat flavor i get out of this. 4.5 is my highest scote yet!
