A very dry, briny and slightly astringent kind of peat. Some iodine and black pepper going on. Very crisp, not much of the usual lagavulin hint of sweetness. Damn fine scotch!

Peat is the first thing on the nose. Also the heaviest taste on the palate. A little charred. A little sweetness from malty bread. The finish leaves behind the peat, replacing it with more sweet malt, maybe honey or fruit, and just a touch of peat. Very low on spices. Leaves you wanting another sip
