Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B521

The fact that a bourbon can taste this good should be illegal. Carmel, vanilla, brown sugar, spice, orange peal, cinnamon red hots. Wow. It’s grand.

Poured neat Nose is straight up caramel and candy corn with a touch of dark chocolate. Not as much ethanol burn as I would have expected for a 121 proof. Palate hits notes of brown sugar caramelized syrup drizzled over chocolate with a creamy mouth feel and then fades to charred oak earthiness that reminds me of smoked almonds. Chocolate, almond toffee flavor. The finish is long and spicy from the proof. In the finish I get the oak from the barrel and more of the charred barrel in the smoked almond flavor. Picked up two bottles because I expected this to be awesome. It didn’t disappoint. Will go back and get a couple more before it’s gone for sure.

Caramel, wheat, sweet, little bit of heat

"Good bourbon. Tasting against the ECBP B521 (I actually had to check that). Definitely not as smooth as ECBP. More heat for sure. I’m hoping this opens up as many have given rave reviews. Definitely beats the regular Larceny but a bit hot. More complex than ECBP tho. Look forward to another taste.

Nose: sweet, dark, oaky, spicy Pallet: milk chocolate, nutmeg, sweet Finish: medium, sweet This is the best wheated I’ve ever had. Almost unbeatable at $50 a bottle. Up there with ECBP for Heaven Hill
