Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch C922

Legs almost nonexistent with a beautiful chestnut color. Leaves an oily appearance on glass after awhile. Nose of buttery flaky cherry tart with almonds. Palette of rich sweetness that makes me think of dessert breads, dark fruit and leather. Watered palette warming buttery sweetness and a slight numbing tingle on the tongue. Long lasting Kentucky hug that expands the numbing tingle too the rest of the mouth and oily finish. Dried nose

Absolutely incredible pour. An extremely layered and complex nose with tons of citrus and dried fruit with caramel and leather notes. The taste really follows through with everything that appears on the nose and more. An incredible easy drinker for 126.6 proof, a ton of nuance and beautiful caramel flavors that develop. Absolute must have.

Deep copper color. The nose feels viscous and leads with cinnamon maple syrup, along with some clove, vanilla and cake batter. Dense, hot mouthfeel. The palate has more fruit notes than the nose hints at, with maraschino cherry syrup, red apples, and medjool dates, along with toasted cinnamon stick, allspice, vanilla bean, and buttered biscuits. The finish is long, hot and dry, with more of the buttery bread note and lingering baking spices, with a faint note of spearmint that leaves the tongue tingling a little. Larceny Barrel Proof releases have been hit or miss for me but this one is excellent!
