Not great. I prefer to drink my bourbon with an ice cube or two. I tried this after having a glass of E. h Taylor and a sniff of the cork and bottle really don't give this much of an aroma at all to me. After letting it open up for a few minutes I can smell distinct vanilla and sweet notes, maybe burnt sugar or caramel. This is not my go to bourbon, and probably won't buy again after finishing this bottle. I would rather spend my $25-$30 on a bottle of McKenna Bottled-In-Bond, a 10-year 100-proof, single barrel. The McKenna is a better bang for your buck in my opinion.
It seems that most people like this bourbon and it is highly recommended, so I look forward to seeing if it opens up a bit after sitting on the shelf for a month or two.
