Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Hits you with a smooth flavor. First wheated Bourbon. Has a sweetness to it then a very slight hint of bitterness. Pretty good overall. Interesting John E. Fitzgerald backstory.

Good classic sweet whiskey. Hint of vanilla

Nose: Creamy vanilla, banana bread, light honey, citrus, oak Palate: Cinnamon that gives way to vanilla for a minute, before introducing more baking spices Finish: Short as the baking spices linger on Heaven Hill's flagship wheated bourbon comes in with a 68% Corn / 20% Wheat / 12% Malted Barley mashbill. The nose is enjoyable with sweetness, but that doesn't really translate to the palate as baking spices come in and dominate. It's a fine value sipper, however, when it comes to wheaters I still prefer good ol' Maker's Mark.

Simple easy sipping. Smells of baking spices, soft on the tongue and smooth in the way down with little to no burn.

Has a strange artificial aging attempt. The aging doesn't taste natural, slight rye bite, no real character and slightly spicy. Not as bad as Flintlock or other unltracheap bourbons but very fake tasting. Save your money.

For me great to create an Old Fashion, is smooth and give a different taste when comparing making an old fashion with other brands. 3.5/5.

Larceny Wheated Bourbon – Three and a Half Stars Sweet vanilla and oak up front with a touch of cinnamon heat. Easy-drinking, but the finish fades quickly. Best enjoyed over ice or in a cocktail — a good value pour for the price.

Spicy. Burns in the nose, then the chest. Smells sweet.

Pickles on the nose. The wheat comes through but pretty light. Hints of nuttiness, vanilla. I see this as a good alternative to markers mark.
