Lot No. 40 Canadian Rye

That is some good whiskey! I don't think I have ever four-stared anything Canadian, but this one merits it. The nose is caramel and pleasantly herbaceous, with faint notes of vanilla. The palate is black peppery spiced, with a generous dose of oak. It's medium-to-full bodied and almost syrupy in texture. The finish has a slight burn that is easily remedied with the addition of water.
