Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked

I’ve been at so many blind tastings where this beats Weller Special Reserve easily. It’s amusing to watch so many overpay for that stuff. Nose: candy corn, hints of floral, brown sugar and caramel, and oak Taste: spicy apple, hints of orange citrus and maple syrup Finish: short to medium Best second-shelf wheater, period.

Sweet cherry bakewell and vanilla cream on the nose. Crème caramel. Lemon. Pepper and spicy oak finish. Dark chocolate.

Very smooth. Good bourbon for the price

Loved the powerful, and round taste. The oak hits the nose beautifully and sniffing it was a pleasure itself. Love the finish too.

Molasses, bread, oak, vanilla

Solid sipper. Cherries and heat with a bit of chewiness that fades pretty quickly into a woody ethanol hit. Splash of water smooths that backend out. Big ole rock borders on muting the whole thing, but punches up a little vanilla. Nice!
