Thats some high heat, especially considering how smooth this hits from start to finish. Sweet corn and wood on the nose, newrly the same with a little all spice and toasted rye on the sip. Easy going down, and ice/water doesnt mute things too much. Damn good.

Sweet and smooth with stone fruit and light wood. A light and lingering heat that exits nicely. This single is a Schneider’s pick (779526). Very solid for the price point.

With Pit Viper on the label and a psychedelic stopper, knew I was in a ride with this one. Bit of a muted nose, but some interestingly buttery char alongside that grassy Whistlepig giveaway. Soft butter and toasted marshmallow on the first sip with a spicy kick. Smooth opening that gives way to some burn. Touch of water in there drowns the first-hit-fun but also limits that punch. I’d stick with straight and enjoy this for what it is. Experimental sun barrels charred up to offer something just the right amount of off the wall.

Spice and pepper with a definite young hit overall. Starts soft and thin, ends warm to hot. Ice mutes it too much, so neat was a good choice. Solid for a blended 3+ year!

Neat first. With cube second. Warm and rich maple with banana, some sort of citrus and leathery cinnamon. Layers that roll. Adding the cube mutes those complexities and brings out the heat on the front and back end. If you enjoy the kick, that’s a solid way to go.

Solid sipper. Cherries and heat with a bit of chewiness that fades pretty quickly into a woody ethanol hit. Splash of water smooths that backend out. Big ole rock borders on muting the whole thing, but punches up a little vanilla. Nice!

Those fresh white oak barrels definitely give this a woody pull. Barrel resin and light molasses over a leathery layer with medium viscosity. Medium heat that has a peppery bite and a wash that ends with a hay and tobacco touch. A few drops of water mellows the whole ride out, though ice unjustly mutes it. If you’re a fan of the lighter aged Old Potrero, this is probably up your alley. Nice sipper.

Rich and malty with a heavy dose of woody barrel and rum spice. Not much peat, if any, and an easy burn that finishes smooth. A drop or two of water brings out some caramel and some earthy tones. Damn fine.

Actually enjoying this. Definitely has some young heat to it (that settles down with a splash of water). The barrel taste is strong, which might put folks off, but I enjoy it this time of year. Not a ton of complexity, but woody with vanilla and caramel. A nice linger after the final sip.

This baby dances. Walnuts, cigars, tobacco, and caramel on the nose. Quick taste out of the bottle has heat carried with cinnamon, tobacco, shoe leather, and sweetness. A little breath and that shifts over sweet corn, cloves, and a nice kick of baseball glove leather. Damn good and just fun to taste through the cycles.
