I’m a scotch guy but I don’t mind this at all; is it worth double the base makers mark offering? I don’t think so. The higher proof is nice and it’s a tad smoother and that’s about it. I was expecting a better mouthfeel.
I wouldn’t buy again but I would buy the entry MM
No cork … but wax dipped … Light orange smell … nice oak cherry leather spice taste … cherry fruit finish … lingering corn vanilla … nice bourbon … NOTE: with a salty snack the cherry really popped on the lingering finish

Woody pine, cherries, and maple on the nose, a really fine scent.
Leather, oak and more maple on the palate. Somewhat thin flavoring for a higher price and proof bottle.
Sweet syrup on the finish not smooth but relatively low burn for a 101 proof. Nice bottle but, the fine nose belies a fairly average taste. I think it's better than standard Maker's but not by a lot.
