Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 FAE-01

Dark, dried fruit on the nose along with some brown sugar/sweetness. Citrus fruits on the palate along with a decent warmth. The finish is medium-long and is very good. This probably beats out the rest of the MM flight easily (46, 101, cask strength)

Nose: Caramel, cinnamon, butter, tobacco, old books, oak, barrel spices, old leather and dark fruits. Palate: Semisweet, buttery, rounded with dried fruits, vanilla, cherries, oak, tobacco and baking spices. Finish: Long, spicy, hot with hints of some fruity and nutty notes.

Caramel, leather and a heavy dose of alcohol on the nose. Smooth and creamy... sweet (apples and cherries), lots of spice, and oak on the palate; medium finish with a hefty supply of heat and more spice. This finished at the top spot in a blind taste test against five other bottles of varying price points, proofs, and age statements.
