Mayenda is an additive free 100% blue Weber agave tequila brand that is part of the Campari Group portfolio. Maestro Tequilero Jesus Susunaga and his team at Casa San Nicolás in Jalisco use 2 production techniques that are unique to this brand. The base distillate is macerated with both the roasted piñas (the heart of the agave) and the agave miel or "honey" from the cooking stage of the agave before roasting in copper pot stills. It is then aged for 6 months in a combination of American oak and European oak barrels.
It is bottled at 40% ABV, and will be released in the U.S. and Mexico in June, 2024. (SRP $75).

Tequila ReposadoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged from 2 months up to a year in barrels no larger than 20,000 L. Any type of wood is acceptable, although ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Reposado translates to "rested".

Tasting Notes
"The nose provides ample roasted agave aromas with notes of grapefruit and lime zest and salty pretzels. The palate has flavors of toast spread with butter and honey, salty roasted peanuts, and balanced earthiness with a hint of portobello mushrooms. Though there is sweetness present, roasted agave flavors provide much of that flavor profile with a slight brininess to the finish. "
