Definitely can't do this as a daily sipper.
Nose: Buttered popcorn? Smells very hot, is that cinnamon?
Palate: Strong alcohol almost overwhelmed the buttery popcorn taste and sweet corn.
Finish: Hot and burned but could still taste the corn.
weird bottle, I don't dislike it but won't be having it very often
Glad I tried a corn whiskey, but there’s a reason corn is usually only ~part~ of the mashbill. Fairly bland and kinda watery, which makes the presence of the alcohol more unpleasant. Would highly recommend for the reference point, but that’s about all
Some classic bourbon smells are tucked under the dominant sweet corn upfront.
Big time corn steals the show, but not dusty or fresh, rather as the name suggests ‘mellow’. It’s very present but soft.
Nothing fancy, just tasty. And the bonded proof gives a satisfying length to finish. Not very complex, but very tasty for corn forward fans.
