Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Rye

Nice. Great viscosity. But I wouldn't pay secondary for this. This was pour at a bar.

TONS of butterscotch on the nose. Man, I could smell this thing all day. So rich and full. Butterscotch continues into the palate, which is where the rye also comes to play. Finish is a little thin, but it’s got a pleasant spice and is nice and aromatic. I rated it the same, but I like this one a bit more than the 10-year bourbon.

This smells so much better than it tastes, which is a bit disappointing in the end. Nose: caramel, maple syrup, nutmeg, and French toast crunch cereal, because the nose is almost artificial Taste: too light and mild overall. Mostly just a pinch of rye spice profile, cocoa powder, brown sugar. I'm really reaching here to find anything descriptive. It's smooth but boring. Overall, there's nothing about this that makes me want to come back for more. Overrated is an understatement
