Reviewed October 5, 2024Price is reflcting it in a flight. Intense vanilla flavor with oak & berries. Vanilla & oak flavor. Great with dried bananas... I think I really like dried bananas. Proof was 110. My personal favorite out of the four including the 10 year.35.0 USD per ShotMichter's Fort Nelson Distillery -

Reviewed August 7, 2024Very rich in the nose and on the palette. Sweet, with brown sugar, cherry, vanilla, and oak present. Warm, lingering finish, with a hint of milk chocolate appearing. Remains sweet on the lips long afterward. The folks at the Fort Nelson Distillery couldn’t sell me any rye bottles, and only let me have this barrel-strength bourbon ($119) if I bought it as a set with the regular bourbon ($55) I can get back home.119.0 USD per BottleMichter's Fort Nelson Distillery -

Reviewed May 27, 2024For $10 a pour I couldn’t turn this down and seeing as I generally like barrel proof products I had high hopes for this one. On the nose you get a sharp cinnamon vanilla note with a fair bit of burn as well. After letting it sit for ~10min I went in for a taste and ho boy was this hot. This heat lingered throughout and seemed to hide some of the other flavors but I was able to pick up a swirl of butter and caramel towards the end. The heat lingered on the tongue for a good 15-20sec afterwards before dissipating, leaving a pleasant coating of musky oak. I was a bit disappointed if I’m being honest, the heat overpowered everything a bit too much for my liking, but as with most pours I’ll have to revisit in the future to see if my opinion changes.10.0 USD per PourHenry Clay's Public House
