Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon (2014 Release)

A bit sweet and smoky

Whiskey Wednesday!!

Not quite as good as I was hoping but good nonetheless. Vanilla, oak, smoke and char are upfront. There is an interesting brine salt quality that none of the reviews I read mentioned that is paired with leather as a finish. Nice unique complexity. Finish is hot, great burn that lingers. The perfect pain.

Smooth, Smokey, a little bit of an alcohol burn at the end (slightly better than Blanton’s but not a full score higher although not at all similar)

Stonefruit is apparently what that flavor is under the vanilla. Super sweet and fruity, I love it. It lingers on the tail for a long time. Vaniiiiilllaaaaa. Burn can be a little much though.
