Let sit in Glencairn for 10 minutes. Batch 21L3193.
Taste is young. The traditional and expectant bourbon notes are there, but pretty thin, almost watery. Caramel, a hint of vanilla and maple. Really not getting much of anything from the oak barrel. It’s not terrible by any stretch, but I would argue there are better bottles at lower price points.
Tasted next to the campfire
Nose - typical bourbon smell
Taste - quite smooth with maybe a little oak and vanilla
Finish - leaves a decent slow burn on the tongue and throat, vanilla aftertaste
Score - 3.0

This is really great. It reminds me a lot of Buffalo trace, with strong vanilla and carmel flavor. It’s a little bit smokier, but still very well balanced.
