"Pumpernickel bread is indeed the dominant element in both the nose and the palate. However, it's well integrated in both instances. On the nose, mixed with notes of coffee, vanilla, and cinnamon. On the palate, it mingles with a medley of sweet and savory spices (almost like a pumpernickel everything bagel) — most notably anise, ginger, cinnamon, clove, dill, sage, nutmeg, black pepper. The finish is rich, roasty, and spicy, with an overall effect that rides the line between sweet and savory, but is quite delicious. "
