Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt

Great blend for a cheaper whiskey

Lovely sweet smooth Scotch. Nose: is very light, toffee notes Taste: salted caramel, baked banana and pastry, little bit of spice through the middle. Finish: caramel continues with a bit dark chocolate; fair bit of oak came through here, normally enjoy the oak, but was a bit off here for me. I think I’m the exception though as most others I know have simply found vanilla oakiness. Neat was a little harsh for me, had with a dash of water and it opened up
