Mount Gay Eclipse Rum

Molasses, lemons, buttered corn, coconut, bananas, mangos, vanilla, charred oak, grapefruit, caramel, apples, butterscotch, nutmeg, syrupy, chocolate. Good for low proof and low price.

Not bad. I add a little lime and drink on ice. Good sweetness, honey notes, caramel taste.

It is blonde with an aroma of coconut and banana. The flavor matches the aroma with toasted coconut and banana, but also has some breadiness and spice. It is fairly hot and it overwhelms the flavor a bit.

Aromas of Mount Gay Eclipse Rum are fruity and spicy, with a background of caramel. The entry is smooth, with a palate of baking spices and oak. The finish is brief, with light vanilla and baking spices.

It has an aromatic birth with notes of banana, apricot, fresh flowers & vanilla; while a thick & tart life adds notes of fruit, toasted oak, smoke, herbs & spices; that leads to a warm & spicy death with notes of oak, honey & lemon. Best served in rum punch but is the least bad Mount Gay

Age 2 years in whiskey cask. The flagship rum with golden amber color. Woody and toasted almonds with spice and green apple. A good rum punch mixer.

Aromas of nutmeg, graham cracker, orange pith, and brown sugar. Lightly oily in the mouth. On the palate, more nutmeg, graham cracker, and orange, along with some clove. Finish is medium-length. 2.50/5.00 – Acceptable (neat)

Fruity and oaky. Not sure its exactly sipping rum but it would do the job. Mixed into pineapple juice, it’s pretty tasty. A good solid addition to your bar.
