Mount Gay XO Extra Old Rum

Very oily, almost too much for my preference. Not too much body, got some fruit flavors in there too.

Smoke and caramel nose; caramel, sugar cane, mineral water, and creme brûlée; very smooth; molasses and char finish; probably my favorite rum I’ve had so far (not many though)

Caramel, vanilla, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon on the nose. Pepper, vanilla, oak, molasses and more caramel and spice in the palate. Medium long, warming finish with lingering black pepper, caramel sweetness and a little coffee. Very nice aged rum!
