Mount Gay XO Extra Old Rum

Rum excellence. Let it breathe and drink it neat or with a drop of water. Vanilla, chocolate, cherry, oak, and a sort of dry cola flavor overall. Zero aded sugars and very good sipper.

Tried this in a Dark Rum Flight, at Red Frog Pub, on the Carnival Sunshine. Of the eight rums I tried, in two separate flights, this was the worse. It has the typical dark rum sweetness, but taste very medicinal. It might make a good Cuba Libre, but falls far short of being called a sipping rum.
