Oban Little Bay

Tasting Methodology: Neat in a Canadian Glencarin class. Rested 10 minutes. Nose: pear, red apple Palate: spicy bite (citrus oil), slow heat. Balanced besides the spice. Medium body. Light mouthfeel. Pear. Undertones of coconut citrus. Sweet. Finish: heat spice. Rating: 9/10 for it’s niche (floral whisky) - reminds me of glenfiddich Value rating: 8/10. I prefer peatier whiskies

Similar to compas box spice tree but with less chrismas spice and more fruit

Mildly mineral, peaty.

Nose: light fruit, mild citrus, a tinge of caramel and wood (not having this out of a proper glass so nose is a bit muted) Palate: mild peat, very low smoke, bright fruitiness, a berries and cream note. Soft woodiness that blends into the drying finish. Almost a dark/earthy Sherry note. Hints of caramel, honey, and a tiny brown sugar Finish: mild drying and wood tanin. Smooth with a hint of fruit, a bit of phenolic/rubber

Signature oban taste. Light touch of peat. I think it's true to the obam taste 7 to nose. 7,7,7
