Oban Little Bay

Even smoother than the 14, but lacks the peat. Very fruity and sweet. Nice.

Very fruity and sweet on the nose, with apples, pears, honey and a hint of caramel. An almost buttery quality on the tongue, followed by sweetness in the form of plums and honey. For me, the finish was short, with a hint of pepper at the end

Apples burst out of the bottle when I removed the cork. I am very impressed by this. Apples, apricots, cloves, mint, black pepper. The finish is long and complex. A wisp of barrel char at the very end. I dislike very sweet whiskeys and this manages to be sweet without being heavy or cloying.

I usually prefer Islay Scotch but this one is nice and rounded and goes from sweet to slightly bitter at the end.
