Old Forge Blended Bourbon Whiskey

Has a distinct slight burn but after taste is smioth with a hint of carsmel and woody

Didn’t hate this. Maybe being in the Smokies helped its case. Last tasted 03/2022.

Nose: caramel, cherry, crème brûlée, oak, cinnamon and spruce. Medium sweet, flavors of vanilla, white pepper, caramel, oak and cherry. Good elements, but could use a bit of age.

Was told during the tasting that this distillery sources barrels from Dickel while their batches age. The whiskey has a heavy rye taste and a pleasant overall finish with just the right burn. It could stand to age a little longer but overall one of the better Tennessee Whiskeys I have tasted.
