Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon

Decent bottle for the price! Kind of boring though.

A great standard for BiB bourbons. At around $20 - you’d be hard pressed to find a better value. It’s great neat, over ice or as a base for many classic bourbon cocktails.

nose: I get vanilla and peanuts with cherry with a light pine cone smell. taste: if JIF made a bourbon this would be it. tastes like peanut butter. very delicious with a burn on the back. very sweet but cant help to taste the peanuts.

Light nose with a hint of vanilla. Palate has the taste of pineapple upside down cake with the maraschino cherry in the middle of the pineapple. Short finish with a hint of oak sticking around.

Nose • Spice • Heat • Rye • Peanuts Taste • Spice! Pepper. • A little astringent • Sweet • Heat Pretty good, clearly 50% ABV. Not as complex as some but mouth coating and quite good for the value.

I'm giving 4 stars for the simple reason that this is a great, inexpensive, high rye 100 proof bourbon that makes a great old fashioned. Great addition to the bar.
