r: spicy and burny. Cheesy?
- d: serviceable, not unique. A little more astringent in the scent. Sweet.
Tasted at hotel out of tea cups after a full day.
n:typical bourbon, toffee, vanilla, hint of honey and oaky
p: smokey, salty, not spicy, very mild sweetness
f: long, salty, slight oaky bitterness
overall a mild bourbon whisky with salty taste full of ur mouth
Sweet, but not too sweet. Definitely close to bourbon, but not in a bad way. Nose is Carmely and sweet. Vanilla too. End definitely fades away to a lot of nutty-vanilla. Great ending flavor. Hint of smoke at the end.
In my fav bar for my last night down in ChCh for the forseeable future. It's a bit of an old Pulteney fest. This plus a cask strength 11 year Cadenhead and a 11 year connoisseurs choice. For the standard 12 I'm with scotchharding on this one. Niceish, mild vanilla and honey but little heft. 3.25 I'll give it.
