2nd tasting: definitely hits you hard immediately. Pretty peaty. Strong Carmel at the end; leaves you with citrus. Again, doesn’t seem overly complex. Added water: really lovely. Much preferred. Really accentuates the peat in a lovely way. Can taste fruity notes in the beginning now. Can taste more vanilla.

Longrow 14 Year Sherry Cask Matured
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed May 13, 2019 (edited August 23, 2019)This taught me that I don’t think I love sherry finishes. Very sweet. Tastes of Carmel. Not my favorite, but I can definitely respect it. -

Octomore 06.1/167 Scottish Barley
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed May 13, 2019 (edited June 21, 2020)Wow. Peat. One of the peatiest scotches in the world. And you can tell. Not much there in complexity honestly. I just absolutely love it. -
Oooh. Interesting. Is this what a Rye tastes like? This is my first one. Can’t say I like it. I know now what “spicy” feels like. Aroma: Smells like honey, vanilla, brown sugar, chocolate. Spice rides through entire drink. Biting, thin spice pops up immediately and doesn’t go away. Very simple. Nothing happens at the end. Very thin. But I sipped it with 2/3 coke and it was real nice.20.0 USD per Bottle
