The nose of the drink is an odd mix of sweet and salty. There is a sweetness reminiscent of the bourbon casks it is aged in that evolves into the scent of brine and a light smoke.
On the palate the scotch starts light. It is rather fruity with an airy breath of citrus and pear. One may detect some cereal notes. There is some peatiness to the scotch as well, very little. It finishes with a coffee like flavor very late.
