I specifally said, “Hey pal, I don’t really do shots, they make me sick.” They didn’t believe. I threw up off a back porch overlooking the beautiful Appalachian moutains with a full moon. I saw the strars and planets in all thier glory and it made me think, “There is more to this world, with a sky so beautiful, there has to be.” So I guess it wasn’t so bad afterall. Thanks Patron.
Overpriced but a good step up from lower end blanco. Lacks a little finesse and intricacy but it does the job well, lacking some of the harsher chemical-like notes of lesser stuff, including Espolon.
Tasting- neat in tasting glass
Nose- powdered sugar with black pepper. I detect a hint of lime skin ever so slight
Taste- sweet agave nectar. A little sweeter than I had bargained for after nosing it. Would have like some more of those peppery notes to come through. A bit thin, but a likeable flavor all in all. There is a hint of green melon on the way out.
Finish- not a whole lot going on here. Finish is on the over ripe green melon or cantaloupe note.
Overall- This is a decent value, but I fear you are not getting much complexity at all. It's a bit artificial and one note for me. I would have loved if some of the spicier notes in the nose came through at the end. It is far from bad, but it just doesnt really grab my interest.
