Peerless Double Oak Bourbon

Bourbon flight of this, Rabbit Hole Heigold, and Old Forester 1924. Caramel apricot fruit leather nose. The palate is thick dense sweet, with some wood tannins, but stops just short of being too much oak for me. Quite an enjoyable pour, one I wouldn’t mind revisiting.

nose - marshmellow, sweet candied pecan, grape, musty wood palette - strong wood, with the sweetness of pecan throughout the viscousness finish - not a strong detectable note, with the woodedness being the main experience throughout a deep, pleasing double oaked experience, and one of the more thick, viscous drams. the pleasant sweetness of the nosing doesnt quite follow through as strongly however. all around a solid pour, albeit one that leaves a little bit to be desired.
