Proof is noticeable on the nose also light brown sugar notes and cocoa. Palette is likewise sweet and not peppery. Some warmth on the finish. Pleasant and enjoyable. As it sat it moved from peppery to cocoa and dusty to grainy.
Compared it to Lock Stock & Barrel 13, and WhistlePig 100/100 single barrel cask strength. The proofs were close. Pikesville was decidedly single noted comparatively but was able to stay in the race especially at the relative price point.
