Pikesville Straight Rye

Traditional rye notes on the nose and pallet. Strong up front with the high proof but it actually mellows really well.

Pretty vanilla for a rye, but a very easy sip

One of the few ryes that I have really enjoyed; and I am guessing that the high proof is why. Rich, mouth coating flavor of subtle mint and tobacco and a bit of sweet. Further demonstration of my fan boy relationship with Heaven Hill.

Tasting neat: Nose offers vanilla cream and oak. Palate brings dark and luscious cherry and rye spice. Finishes long and tingly, with more spice and wood leather.
