I don’t even know where to start with this tasting. I have about a dozen mid to top shelf rums in my collection. This one by far is the most unique. Agree with other posts on the fruity flavors but disagree with the ‘heat’ comments. I’m a rum drinker living in the heart of bourbon country and find this smoother than higher proof bourbons at double the price. I find it very smooth and have no issue drinking chilled straight. I like it chilled b/c the fruit / molasses tones down a bit and I feel it blends better with the heat with the fruit coming in after the heat. Straight room temp is just too much going on with heat + fruit. I’ve read banana, pineapple fruity but I can’t really identify it other than the most unique in my collection. I will say the bouquet is more appealing over time. After about 5 or 6 tastings I find the bouquet more and more appealing.
