Redbreast 27 Year

Nose: fruits, grapes, intense, almost like porto sometimes Mouth: rich, complex, fruits, spices, chocolat which make the whole rounded Finish: tanins spicy Nez: fruits confits, raisins, intense j’ai l’impression de sortir le porto parfois Bouche: riche, complex, fruité, épices, chocolat qui englobe et arondi le tout Longueur : tanins épicés

Strong nose and taste. Mellowed some with ice. Decent, but I feel that this is aged just too long. 12 & 18 are better in my opinion.

Color is almost rosé pink. Nose: rich red cherry, sweet baking spice, toffee, caramel, wood spice. Deep rich oak. A bright berry note zips thru. Latent vanilla. Deep and complex as youd expect for something 27 years old, yet still manages to be bright and vibrant. Palate: beautiful. Rich and full. Little bits of chili. Very bright red fruit. Cherry, redcurrants, and raspberry. Slight herbaceous element. Vanilla. Prominent baking spice. Single pot still barley character still manages to come thru as a subtle hint towards transition to finish. Almost a tiny hint of grapefruit Finish: wood spice and red fruit, deep long lasting.

Nose: vanilla custard, blood orange, honey oats Palate: fruit jam of every flavor, pear, cherry, orange, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, crème brûlée over honey Finish: what makes this shine, wildly lingering, cinnamon, strawberry jam, marmalade, thin marshmallow around the edges of the taste, black currant, light baking spice Value: A+, a very expensive whiskey however far more complex than anything I’ve ever tasted. This boasts a balanced nose, lovely mouthfeel, and a finish that includes a list of fruit marmalades and berries with some classic vanilla and honey elements to the whiskey. This was a gift from my wife for our wedding and I only drink this every anniversary as this is something to experience beyond savoring.
