Disclosure... I am not a fan of Rye whiskey, but this one is OK. On the nose there's this grass, not really int, but minty aromas, maybe a slight coco (very faint in the background), herbs. In the palate spices come out to play, some tartiness, dill or pickles, and more spices, not pepper. I think the ABV helps me with this one, as if this was on the high 50s%, it would have been too hot/spicy for me. Next time I will try it with a dash of water.
