Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond

A little spicy at first, but levels out quickly. This is really nice! Got it for cocktails but tried it straight first and was very impressed.

Not as spicy as you would think, some fruit pie on the nose, great warmth and finish

My go-to for whiskey cocktails

Poured neat. In the nose I get some some pepper with a hint of peach cobbler. Palate hits nicely with banana in the front and then white pepper. The finish was medium and leathery at first and then got kinda dry as it lingered. Damn good rye at under $30, especially for a 100 proof BIB.

Darn and fruity

A bit boozy neat but strong flavors and higher proof hold up well in old fashioned.
