Molasses, demerara, woody, tannin, honey, spicy

This is a good value sipping rum. On the nose is a sweet aroma of molasses. The palate adds notes of dark dried fruits like figs and prunes. The finish is a medium length and the first place where I noticed the oak notes that I usually expect from anything that has spent an appreciable amount of time in a barrel. I enjoyed this a great deal at a price I felt was very reasonable.

Was somewhat disappointed given the hype around this rum. Started nice with strong banana and molasses but finished fairly week with small hints of fruit and tree nuts. Was hoping for more hogo funkiness but was left with an extremely smooth crisp finish. One shining note, makes a great mixing rum especially in a pina colada.

Nose: Bosch pear, buttercream, caramel, molasses, banana, Taste: caramel and a bit bready like a tres leches cake. Banana, tropical fruit. Slightly floral. Brown sugar. Finish is almost non existent but it goes down easy enough. It’s good in that it doesn’t have that glue or plasticy note that I find in most cheap runs
