Like the official distiller review says this is a real quiet one in the glass, and you really have to try hard to find specific notes. The nose if the most interesting part of this rum and its hard to tell if you are nosing rum or a dessert wine frankly. As for the palate, I completely disagree with the flavor profile provided by distiller, and this tastes like a very mild and fruity cognac reminiscent of a Courvoiseer VSOP? With the rum characteristics only coming in at the very end right before the short finish with notes of caramelized creme brûlée and fruity toffee and then some oak. Overall this is a very unique "rum" as it really doesn't taste like one.
