Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila

Spicy, black pepper notes, warm, smooth finish.

Might be made for bourbon drinkers. Doesn’t taste like bourbon or anejo but has characteristics of both. Like it with a cube. And should buy it more often.

I used this as a mix with vodka, amaretto orange curaçao and lime juice. The gentle saltiness came through but not overpowering. Overall, it was very tasty.

Agave, more spicy than vegetal, basil, smoke, barrel, distinct black pepper and cedar. Spicy, woody, medium-sweet; black pepper, oak and caramel; the agave is relatively mild. Tasty for sure, but thin.

Nice, mellow sipper. Notes of pepper and bourbon. Like tequila, but less so.

Almost taste agave. Candy sweet vanilla. A little heat. Tropical coconut oil note.
