Sazerac Rye

Wonderful vanilla and cinnamon. Traditional at its best

Sweet maple sugar and woody nuts on the nose. The aroma is light and inoffensive. Also light on the palate as black peppery spice continues on. Continued sugar notes with hints of nut and oranges. A swift prominent burn but the flavor continues on through it. Not terribly complex, but a nice dram neat. Continued tastings reveal charred wood. Haven't had with water yet. This brand is advertised as a mixer, and I do believe it would do very well in an old fashioned.

Crunchy and Smooth One of my favourites. Sweet crunchy spiciness. Cinammon, aniseed, pepper, leather, vanilla and oak. Nice gentle heat. Not too overpowering. The bottle is great also.

Delicious. Clove on the nose and delicious cinnamon and vanilla on the palate. Amazing spirit!

The rye that taught me not all ryes are too hot and spicy. So easy to drink with lots of flavore. I haven't had the 18yr or other $100 bottles, so in my world this is a 5 star.
