Slane Special Edition Extra Virgin Oak
Blended
Slane // Ireland
This second U.S. release is a tribute to Lord Henry Conyngham, who began hosting epic rock concerts with some of the world’s biggest acts on Slane Castle's front lawn in 1981.
Much like the original whiskey, this is a triple cask Irish whiskey that is matured in a combination of virgin oak, seasoned barrels, and Spanish sherry casks. However, this expression is bottled at 45% ABV as a nod to 45 RPM records. It will be available after March 6, 2022.

Tasting Notes
"This is more savory than sweet with some charred barrel notes, natural rope, vanilla, and a touch of lemon peel and dried red fruits. It's bittersweet on the palate and again more on the savory side. More oak flavors shine through, particularly the char. The grain whiskey peaks out with a touch of corn and overall there is a medium spice factor which makes it tingle on the gums. Solid proof. Try it on the rocks to go with the whole rock and roll theme. "
